Start from a plan that already works.
Our plans have been built and lived in across the Carolinas, so there’s a good chance one already fits the way you live. Then we make it yours: move walls, add a room, change the elevation and choose every finish.
Building on your lot should be exciting. Too often, it’s stressful.

Will it cost what they said?
Budgets drift when prices show up after the fact. A fixed price with allowances, not cost-plus. You know your price, and the allowances for your selections, before construction starts, so the budget doesn’t keep growing and there are no surprises at the end.
Will it be done when they promised?
Schedules slip when no one owns the calendar. A schedule someone owns. A dedicated builder runs your home, and your online portal keeps your schedule, selections, plans and pricing in one place.
Will anyone call me back?
Silence is the hardest part of building with the wrong builder. People who pick up. You’ll always know who to call, from first meeting through warranty.

Questions about building on your lot
Can I build one of your plans on my own lot?
Yes. That’s how most of the homes we build on our clients’ lots begin. We confirm the plan fits your lot’s size, setbacks and slope, then modify it with our architect to fit your land and the way you live.
What does it cost to build on my lot?
Most of the homes we build on our clients’ lots are a $1 million to $4 million investment, depending on size, site and finishes. We build for a fixed price with allowances, not cost-plus: we set the price up front, before we start, so you know exactly what you’re getting and the budget doesn’t keep growing.
How long does it take?
Most homes built on your lot take 12 to 18 months, start to finish, including design, permitting and construction. A plan designed from scratch takes longer. You receive your construction schedule before we break ground.
Where do you build?
In and around Charlotte, generally within about 45 minutes of Uptown. Building somewhere else? Ask us.
Do I need to own a lot first?
Most of our clients come to us already owning a lot or about to buy one. We recommend working with a realtor to find a lot, or reach out to us and we’ll tell you about lots we know of.
Can I bring my own architect?
Most clients start from one of our plans, or we design-build with our architect to bring your vision to life. We typically don’t price out a plan someone else has drawn. We’d rather help steer the design from the start so the home meets your goals and expectations.
What warranty comes with my home?
One year on workmanship and materials, two years on plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems, and ten years on structure, backed by Quality Builders Warranty. Warranty service comes from the same team that built your home.
