Where does Copper Builders build homes?
We’re known for our custom homes and communities throughout the greater Charlotte and Raleigh areas. Build on your lot, or join one of our vibrant neighborhoods – we’ve built hundreds of homes in the desirable South End, LoSo, Fort Mill, Cornelius, Mooresville, Sherrils Ford, Davidson, Lake Norman, South Park, Lake Wylie, Weddington and Cotswold areas, just to name a few.
Who owns Copper Builders?
Company Founder Wade Miller and President Tim Pratt are longtime friends with decades of experience in the residential construction industry. As local Charlotte residents, they share the common goal of making the custom home building process as easy and enjoyable as possible. Their focus on the company principles of trust, community and responsible management has built a team of industry leaders that puts clients first.
How long will it take to build my home?
After many years spent perfecting our process, we can build a custom home in a matter of months. For most clients, the design process takes a month or two. Once design is complete, expect 7-9 months for construction. However, specialty selections and custom details may make the process longer.
Do I have to use one of your home plans?
Most clients choose one of our house plans and modify it to meet their personal needs. We also custom design & build other plans. For ideas and inspiration, our home plans are the perfect place to start. Customizing an existing plan is faster, and offers tremendous cost savings. Are you working with an architect? Bring Copper Builders into the design process for cost-efficient construction.
Do I need an appointment to visit a Model Home?
Appointments are recommended, but certainly not required! Our Model Homes are open for tours (see below) and by appointment. Scheduling an appointment lets us give you our undivided attention and answer all your questions. To request an appointment, Click Here.
Do I need a Real Estate Agent to build a new home?
While a real estate agent is not required, if you are working with an agent be sure to bring them along on your first visit. If you’re a licensed Realtor and would like to discuss what Copper Builders can do for your clients, we’d love to hear from you.
Can I tour homes under construction?
You’re welcome to tour a recent project or see a home that is under construction; just make an appointment with a member of our team so we can accompany you. At Copper Builders, we put safety first. Visitors are required to wear a hard hat and close-toed shoes. For your safety, it is important that you never enter a home under construction unaccompanied.
Will I be able to customize my new home?
We’re a custom builder, so you’ll be able to choose everything! Cabinetry, Countertops, Flooring, Plumbing Fixtures, Lighting Fixtures, Appliances, Shelving, Bath Fittings, Paint Colors, Landscaping and exterior design details. Our in-house Design Team will guide you so it doesn’t feel overwhelming.
How does the home building process work?
- We review the topography, utilities, cost of permits, and size restrictions for your chosen home site.
- We provide a realistic assessment of what you can achieve within your budget.
- Our design team works with you to design your new home and budget for cabinetry, appliance packages, countertops, plumbing fixtures, lighting, and flooring.
- We provide an all-inclusive quote for constructing your home.
- You approve your House Plan and lock in the fixed price of your home. We’ll authorize the contract and collect a deposit.
- Construction begins!
- Our design team helps you shop for products and make final selections.
- With our mobile app you’ll enjoy fast, easy communication with your team during construction.
- Midway through construction, attend a pre-drywall meeting and see the wiring and plumbing.
- We deliver your new home with a walk-through and demonstration, so you’ll know how everything works.
How much will my custom home cost?
The homes we build typically fall between $700,000 and $2 Million and include high end custom finishes. Bring Copper Builders into the design process to ensure that your new home is designed for cost-efficient construction. Choose one of our home plans, or work with an architect. Once your new home plan is complete and you’ve selected a home site, we provide a fixed price for constructing your home.
I don’t have a home site, can you help me find one?
Your new home’s location must be final before a builder can quote the cost of construction. We have trusted relationships in the real-estate community who will be happy to find the perfect site for your home. Will Copper Builders prepare my home site before construction?
Unlike some builders that expect you to prepare your site before they start, our team handles everything.
What does your New Home Warranty cover?
Copper Builders offers a comprehensive warranty that meets the highest industry standards. Backed by the Quality Builders Warranty (QBW) company and Liberty Mutual, our warranty includes:
- 1-year warranty on the entire home
- 2-year warranty on systems installation
- 10-year warranty on structural components
