Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 9, 2026
Copper Builders (“Copper,” “us,” “we,” or “our”) operates https://www.copperbuilders.com (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through the Site, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights available to you. By using the Site, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Information you provide directly — name, email address, phone number, mailing address (if provided), and the content of any inquiry or interest form you submit.
- Information collected automatically, or “Log Data” — IP address, browser type and version, device information, the pages of the Site you visit, time and date of your visit, time spent on those pages, referring page, and email interaction data such as opens and clicks.
- Information collected through advertising technologies — online identifiers and browsing activity collected via cookies, pixels, and similar tools, described in Section 5 below.
2. Sources of Information
We collect information directly from you when you submit a form on the Site; automatically as you browse the Site, through cookies and similar technologies; and from advertising partners who provide aggregated campaign performance data.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your inquiries and requests, and provide information about the homes and communities you’ve asked about;
- Send service-related or transactional emails;
- Send marketing or promotional communications, but only where you have provided explicit, opt-in consent;
- Analyze engagement to improve the Site and our services, and to measure and deliver advertising; and
- Comply with applicable law and protect the security of the Site.
4. Legal Basis for Processing
Where applicable law requires a legal basis for processing, we rely on consent, for marketing emails and for advertising cookies and pixels where consent is required; and contractual necessity or legitimate interest, for responding to your inquiry and operating and securing the Site.
5. Cookies, Advertising, and Your Sharing Choices
Cookies are small files stored on your device that help us recognize your browser and understand how the Site is used. We use cookies and similar technologies, such as Google Analytics, to understand Site traffic and improve our services.
We also use advertising technologies — including the Meta Pixel and Google Ads remarketing — to show you relevant advertising about Copper communities on other websites and platforms after you visit the Site. Even though no money changes hands, California law treats this kind of cross-context advertising use as “sharing” of personal information, and it is disclosed as such in Section 6.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. California residents may opt out of this sharing at any time by using the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link in the Site footer, or by enabling a recognized opt-out preference signal, such as Global Privacy Control (GPC), in your browser. We honor GPC signals as a valid opt-out request.
6. Selling and Sharing of Personal Information
We do not sell personal information in exchange for money.
We do share certain personal information — specifically, identifiers such as email address or device and cookie identifiers, and internet or online activity — with advertising partners, including Google and Meta, for cross-context behavioral advertising as described in Section 5. Under the CCPA and CPRA, this qualifies as “sharing,” and you have the right to opt out of it at any time, free of charge, using the methods described in Section 5.
We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for any purpose beyond what is reasonably necessary to provide the Site and respond to your inquiries.
7. Data Retention
We will retain your personal information for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. Retention periods vary depending on the type of document, your relationship with Copper Builders, and other factors that influence business need. If you purchase a home from Copper Builders, we may keep certain information for twelve years or more so we can continue to provide customer support and honor any applicable warranties.
8. Your Privacy Rights
California Residents
If you are a California resident, the CCPA gives you the right to:
- Know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you;
- Delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions;
- Correct inaccurate personal information we maintain about you;
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information (see Section 6); and
- Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights — we will not deny you goods or services, charge different prices, or provide a different level of service because you exercised a privacy right.
To exercise these rights, contact us using the information in Section 12. We will verify your request, respond within 45 days (extendable by an additional 45 days when reasonably necessary, with notice to you), and will not charge a fee for a reasonable number of requests. You may also designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf, and you may appeal a denied request by contacting us using the same information.
Other Jurisdictions
If you are located in the EU, UK, or another region with its own privacy law, you may have additional rights over your personal data, including access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, and the right to withdraw consent at any time. Contact us using the information in Section 12 to exercise these rights.
9. Security
The security of your personal information is important to us, but no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure. While we use commercially reasonable measures to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
10. Children’s Privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us using the information in Section 12 and we will delete it.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are effective immediately upon posting to this page, and we will update the effective date accordingly. If we make a material change, we will notify you by email (if we have your address) or by posting a prominent notice on the Site. Your continued use of the Site after a change is posted constitutes your acknowledgment of, and consent to, the updated policy.

Terms of Use
Last updated: September 9, 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”), together with the Copper Builders Privacy Policy, govern access to and use of the website located at copperbuilders.com (the “Site”), operated by Copper Builders (“Copper,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
1. Use of the Site
The Site is provided for informational purposes: to allow visitors to learn about Copper’s communities, homes, and services, and to submit inquiries through the Site’s contact and interest forms. The Site does not currently support online reservations, deposits, payments, or user account registration. If that changes, these Terms will be updated accordingly.
2. No Offer; Pricing and Availability
Content on the Site — including home designs, floor plans, pricing, specifications, delivery timelines, renderings, and community availability — is provided for general informational purposes only and is subject to change without notice. Nothing on the Site constitutes an offer to sell, or a binding representation regarding, any home, lot, or community. Any purchase of a home is governed exclusively by a separate written purchase agreement signed by the parties, and that agreement, not this Site, controls the terms of any transaction.
3. Intellectual Property
All content on the Site — including text, photographs, renderings, floor plans, logos, and the Copper Builders name and marks — is owned by or licensed to Copper Builders and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may view and print Site content for personal, non-commercial reference only. Reproduction, distribution, modification, or commercial use of Site content without Copper’s prior written consent is prohibited.
4. Submissions Through the Site
Information you submit through the Site’s inquiry, contact, or interest forms is collected and used as described in the Copper Builders Privacy Policy. By submitting a form, you represent that the information you provide is accurate and that you have the right to provide it.
5. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to:
- Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation;
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, its servers, or any connected system;
- Interfere with or disrupt the Site’s operation, security, or availability;
- Scrape, harvest, or reproduce Site content for a competing commercial use; or
- Transmit any virus, malware, or other harmful code through the Site.
6. Third-Party Links
The Site may contain links to third-party websites that Copper does not own or control. Copper is not responsible for the content, accuracy, or privacy practices of any linked site, and a link does not imply Copper’s endorsement of that site.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Copper does not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Copper Builders and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, the Site, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Copper Builders harmless from any claim, loss, or demand, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising out of your misuse of the Site or your violation of these Terms.
10. Changes to These Terms
Copper may revise these Terms at any time by posting an updated version on the Site with a new effective date. Continued use of the Site after an update is posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Governing Law and Venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or use of the Site will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
12. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
13. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Copper Builders regarding use of the Site and supersede any prior agreements or understandings on that subject.
14. Contact
Questions about these Terms of Use may be directed to Copper Builders, 1900 W Morehead St, Ste 102, Charlotte, NC 28208.
