What’s covered in your new home warranty?

The first year of your Home Warranty covers Copper Builders’ work on the entire home: materials and workmanship, systems installation, and structural components. Coverage continues for systems installation through the end of the second year, and structural elements are covered for a full ten years. Here are the details:

Covers the entire home, with the exception of normal maintenance items like caulking, painting and landscaping. Covered components of a home that do not meet established performance standards during the first year will be repaired, replaced, or paid for under our warranty.

Chimneys and fireplaces

Interior walls and trim

Covers the load-bearing components of your new home: Foundation systems, floor framing systems, walls and partitions, roof framing systems, beams, headers, girders, lintels and columns.

Floor framing systems (structural slabs, joists and trusses only)

Bearing Walls and Partitions

Roof framing systems (rafters and trusses only)

Load-Bearing Beams

Lintels (other than those supporting veneers)

Columns (other than a column that is designed to be cosmetic)

Masonry Arches (other than a column that is designed to be cosmetic).

How To File A Claim

We do our absolute best to make sure every element of your home is built to the highest quality standards. A Home Warranty provides peace of mind – but occasionally, something will go wrong with a new home, and it’s good to know that Copper Builders will be there to take care of it.
