A native of Charlotte, Wade founded Copper Builders after a lengthy career in custom home building. He’s passionate about team-building and professional development, recruiting the industry’s best talent and giving them the tools for success. Focused primarily on growing the business and enhancing the client experience, he loves “sharpening the saw”: improving processes to make the business a little better each day. Wade is also committed to enhancing the lives of the Copper Builders team personally, challenging them towards growth, financial freedom, and becoming experts in their craft. He founded Copper Builders to create a family of driven professionals who share the same work ethic and can be trusted to do a great job, every step of the way.
No one gets the satisfaction out of their work quite like we do in our industry. We take blueprints which are basically some squiggly lines on big pieces of paper and convert that into a house. I live for those days of handing our clients the keys to their dream home.

Wade is someone who likes to leave things better than he found them, receiving awards and recognition for working to enhance the local community and improve the lives of others. He‘s most proud of building and donating an entire 6,000 sq. ft. home to a deserving family on the TV show Extreme Makeover, Home Edition.
Wade graduated with honors and a degree in mechanical engineering from Purdue University, and was named one of the Top 40 Professionals Under 40 by the Charlotte Business Journal. He’s an outdoor enthusiast who spent three years sailing the world with his wife, while living on a sustainable sailboat; he currently lives in South Park with his wife and beautiful, perfect daughter. When the wind is blowing hard, you’ll find him sneaking off to the Outer Banks to indulge in his favorite hobby, kitesurfing.
